The Emerging Leaders & Innovators of the OTC 2024

The Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) 2024, hosted in Houston, Texas, from May 6 to 9, remains a key event in the global energy calendar, bringing together professionals from the marine energy sector to recognize and celebrate industry leadership and innovation.

One of the events taking place is the OTC Distinguished Achievement Awards Event, which honored the following participants:

Distinguished Individual and Organizational Achievements

Kerry J. Campbell receives the OTC Distinguished Achievement Award Individual for his groundbreaking work in deepwater site characterization and his role in mentoring future experts. 

Known for his seminal 1988 article and his influential teachings, Campbell continues to be a leading authority in site engineering and high-resolution marine seismic data interpretation.

Petrobras is honored with the Distinguished Achievement Award for Companies, Organizations, and Institutions for its innovative technologies in the Campos Basin’s Marlim Field, significantly advancing the redevelopment of mature deepwater assets while also reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

The EnerGeo Alliance earns a Special Citation for its enduring commitment to improving efficiency and environmental sustainability in marine seismic data collection, maintaining a steadfast dedication to accessible energy and environmental stewardship for over 50 years.

As OTC continues to showcase these exemplary figures and institutions, it reaffirms the energy industry’s dynamic evolution and its drive towards a more sustainable and efficient future.

The Offshore Technology Conference has announced its:

 2024 class of Emerging Leaders 2024.

This initiative honors young professionals with less than 10 years of experience who have shown outstanding talent and promise in the marine energy sector. 

The selection process involves peers from the previous Emerging Leaders class, emphasizing a continued legacy of excellence within the community.

During a special ceremony scheduled for May 7, 2024, at the NRG Center, these individuals will be recognized for their dedication, innovation, and leadership qualities that forecast a bright future in the industry. 

Alex Martínez, OTC Board Chair, highlighted their “commitment to excellence and relentless pursuit of knowledge,” marking them as true inspirations in pushing boundaries and exploring new horizons.
